We are building strategic partnerships and coalitions for increased policy engagement and advocacy.
Through the strategic partnership pillar interventions, we strengthen advocacy and policy influencing among NAR partners and stakeholders. Through different issue based coalitions and partnerships with various government and civil society actors, we collectively advocate for issues, monitor public policy and collaborate in the implementation of activities. We foster partnerships at the international, national and local levels, with institutions such as universities, government agencies, media, multilateral entities, foreign embassies, CSOs (international and national), youth-led organizations, FBOs and CBOs.
We engage in short and long-term partnerships, putting emphasis on joint learning and planning, networking, reflection and strengthening capacities. This gives us the space and authority to look beyond the outputs and deliverables outlined in a given project plan, and focus instead on bringing about the necessary conditions for transformational change. When engaging with collaborative organizations, we ensure that such partnerships result in an added value for our primary stakeholders (intended beneficiaries) and genuinely respond to their needs, rights and interests. We aim at increasing the number of strategic partners in our different programs to lever on ownership and sustainability.
