Peacebuilding
Through our Peacebuilding Pillar, we empower individuals, especially youth, to resolve conflicts peacefully, foster trust, and heal from trauma, with a strong commitment to genocide prevention.
Each year, our Peacebuilding Institute (PBI) gathers university students and young professionals from across Africa for a transformative two-week workshop, cultivating critical thinking and a commitment to peacebuilding.
Our "Spaces for Peace" initiative provides a safe, inclusive environment for diverse communities to engage in meaningful dialogue and support each other’s healing.
In collaboration with government, civil society organizations, academia, and community groups, we work to build sustainable peace in Rwanda and the Great Lakes region.
Governance and Human Rights
Never Again Rwanda champions participatory, rights-based decision-making that puts citizens at the center. Our citizen-centered initiatives bridge the gap between communities and policymakers, creating dialogue spaces that foster accountability, transparency, and responsiveness.
Through citizen forums, we empower individuals to understand their needs and engage meaningfully in governance. We raise awareness on rights and responsibilities and participate in global forums to strengthen governance and human rights practices.
By partnering with government, civil society organizations, and media, we are advancing Rwanda’s journey toward sustainable development.
Youth Engagement
Working with youth is central to Never Again Rwanda’s mission. We engage young people from diverse backgrounds, encouraging them to use their talents in music, art, and writing to promote peace and inspire hope.
Our programs equip youth to become peace agents, strengthen livelihoods, and advocate for their communities. Through critical thinking, human rights education, and safe spaces for dialogue, we foster intergenerational discussions and democratic participation.
We empower youth to lead, celebrate diversity, and champion human rights, enabling them to uplift their communities and support vulnerable groups.
Research
We generate insights and design interventions grounded in a deep understanding of the social landscape.
Our multidisciplinary research addresses diverse social issues, using participatory action to involve affected communities and ensure their voices shape our findings. Our work promotes transformative ideas in governance, peacebuilding, human rights, and more, providing decision-makers with evidence-based recommendations.
Our research has led to significant shifts in healing practices, citizen engagement, and the role of civil society organizations, advancing sustainable peace and progress in Rwanda.
Strategic Partnerships
Our strategic partnerships and coalitions strengthen policy engagement and advocacy, creating collective impact for a better future.
Through our Strategic Partnership Pillar, we work with government bodies, civil society organizations, and other key actors to advocate for crucial issues, monitor policies, and drive meaningful initiatives at international, national, and local levels.
We prioritize both short and long-term partnerships, focusing on shared learning, capacity building, and transformative change. Driven by the needs and rights of our stakeholders, we ensure each collaboration adds genuine value and fosters ownership and sustainability across our programs.
